The inter school cricket tournament in Dubai was sponsored by CSS Homeward Bound from the title position. Ten schools, divided in two groups of five each, were contesting for the top prize.
The draw for the Under-16 students’ tournament was held at the Shangrila hotel in Dubai.
Dubai International Academy, GEMS Modern Academy, Our Own High School, English Language School and HH Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistani School were drawn in Group A while the Elite English School, Arab Unity School, Indian High School, Delhi Private School (Dubai) and The Winchester School were placed in Group B.
The inter-school cricket tournament has CSS Homeward Bound as the main sponsor. The event is supported by Smart Bag, Petrotech, MyCricket.ae and AreaSqft.com among others.
The Press conference was attended by Walid Bukhatir, Chairman of the Domestic Cricket Development Committee, Mazhar Khan of the Emirates Cricket Board among other dignitaries. CSS Group was represented by Suku Sudhakaran, General Manager CSS Homeward Bound, Syed Zeeshan, General Manager CSS Homeward Bound and G Unnikrishnan, Marketing & Corporate Communications Head for CSS group.
